Adaptiv Technolgies TPX Radar detector

I believe this was the brand that I emailed the manufacturer about maybe 4-5 months ago and received a brief reply that it would be available but haven't heard anything since...Is it out on the market?

Ordered the detector...2 wiring harnesses and the wireless helmet speaker...I should have some results in a week or so of how this device really works out....

Mounted my new Adaptiv TPX unit and wireless helmet speaker tonight...Super simple to install and operate...the buttons are big and easy to operate with gloves...I believe I'm really going to like this unit...

Can you give us an idea what it cost you?

Detectors are not leagal here in Oz, but I know a few people with them in cars. a lot of the highway patrol cars hace radar detector detectors.. so they pull you over and confiscate it. I was thinking this might hide somewhere on the bike.. perhaps in the airt duct vents on the sides of the SS. Make it that little bit more hidden.

What do the buttons do? Obviously one is on/off. but that can be relocated. I like the LEDs.. one could suggest it was a shift light. hahaha. I checked the site but there seems to be no description of what the buttons do.

Thanks for the links..

In accordance with the prophecy...

The buttons are for on off...another for switching modes between city...city no X band and highway sensitivities ..Then there is the up and down buttons for raising and lowering the intensity of the LED lights at night and for raising and lowering the volume of the unit...The unit could be hidden maybe but still needs a good view ahead according to the literature...It's not a tiny unit though..obviously with big enough buttons for gloves to work with...

The cost of the main unit was $309
The wireless headset $70
Universal adapter plate to work with my Tech Mount was $19
Additional wiring harness for my other bike $35....

I'm in the market for a radar detector ... Any updates on the Adaptiv?

I hear good things about Valentine but the Adaptive install looks much easier.
