Acura TL 2008 first oil change(A1), is it necessary to change oil filter as well?

I have had an Acura TL 2008 for about 5 months with 7000 miles on it. The information display shows that the A1 service is due now. (according to owner manual, A1 includes engine oil change and rotate the tires).

My question is: should I change the oil filter as well? I usually change both engine oil and filter at the same time. I dont know why Acura asks only for engine oil change but not oil filter change. Anyone has any thought? and if i do not change oil filter now, when would I expect to do that?
 
If you don't change the filter each time, you leave a significant amount of dirty oil in the system. It isn't cost effective or wise not to change the filter with every oil change.
