While driving the other day, the cruise control stopped working. When I parked I noticed the break lights were still on, even though the car was off. Whats up? It a '97 Acura Integra GSR
The brake lights work via a very simple switch connected to the brake pedal. It's likely the switch is stuck down and is not returning to the full-up (off) position. Look up under the dash up to the top of the brake pedal where it pivots. Behind it should be a small rocker switch. Check to make sure it's not stuck. It may need replacing if you can't "un-stick" it. Your cruise will not work will the switch is depressed.
brake switch bad its above the brake pedal easy to replace and maybe you blon a fuse easy to check pul one at time to look in owner manual to see which one is bad
