Actual cost of BEV packages?

If you had looked the OP was looking at comparing the new packages and a legacy (The Works) package. This is definately not something you can find on Bell's website.

There is a huge benefit to those that have The Works packages contrary to your statement.

The main reason to switch to a newer package is to get channels that are not offered under the old packages. HDNet is one I recall, there are likely others. Otherwise, the older packages are usually a better deal, especially for people who have free HD grandfathered.

What I was trying to get to in the original post was, what extra fees is there on the current brochure prices. As I was trying to do an apple to apple comparison with my old works package. Basically my question was answered, when it was learned there is a $3 dollar fee on top of the brochure prices.

I keep looking at the up to date packages to see if there is a better deal out there over "The Works" $62.45+$5.99 system charge + $4.99 additional receiver = $73.43+tax. The closest in the brochure is: Extra Value Package$73 + $3.00 access fee = $76.00+tax.

The Extra Value Package would appear $0.43 cheaper than The Works, if I was to just look in the brochure. But in asking on this forum, I found out there is a $3 fee tacked on the brochure price making it $2.57 more. I guess I will be sticking with "The Works".

I get the Superchannels with "The Works". Are they not just in free preview right now, or are they included in my package? I haven't watched anything on them yet.;)

I don't think BEV could've made their pricing schedule more complicated!

Basically I just wanted 3 themes (no sports) and 3 HD themes. This is more $ than 6 themes (with sports), HD and premium movies! I was forced to get the 6 themes, 3 of which I will never use, and not even include in my favourites list.

Seems simple enough? I've been trying to get my account straightend out now for 3 weeks now, and after 3 calls to a BEV CSR, it still is not what I thought I was getting when I started this whole process (the 3 SD and 3 HD themes I wanted).

To top off this whole experience, I just got my bill, and holey molely!, I have no idea whats there! It's about 4 pages long... add $300, remove $480, partial month payments...
