Hi, I wonder if anyone on this site can help me trace an actress who used to do the kid's voices in films.
Obviously, I don't know her name, but her voice always seemed to crop up, in films like Village of the Damned (1960), and The Man Who Haunted Himself (Roger Moore 1970).
Watch these films and you will hear all the kid's voices are dubbed, with this actress's voice being very distinctive.
She can also be heard dubbing voices in a Norman Wisdom film and a few horror films.
I ask why this was done, but I think it's because the child actors couldn't convey the emotion the directors wanted.
So, can you help, and does this woman ring a bell?
