I wanted to do a painting with perfect symmetry (like those blobs we did in 1st grade and such, with the folded paper) but on canvas. Would it be possible to:
1- Paint the first half on raw unstretched canvas
2- Fold it over to make at least a symmetrical shadow (to be painted over later)
3- Stretch and prime the canvas after the initial paint was laid, and paint over it?
Will this work, do you think?
