I am a 28 year old who has had acne for 11 years. Until now, it was never that bad, though always worse than any of my frienRAB. I have tried all the antibiotics with not much improvement. This past year my acne increasingly got worse and now I have moderate/severe cystic acne. It is really hard to face the world feeling so ugly. To make matters worse, I am a server and I can't help but feel as though I am grossing out the people who are trying to enjoy their dinner at the restaurant. I start student teaching in a month and I don't feel I have the confidence to do well. I have a dermatologist appointment coming up to hopefully get on accutane. I am not sure how I am going to pay for it since I am unable to work during the week due to student teaching. I am also worried about my skin getting worse while on the medication. I know I have no choice, but to try it. I am tired of hiding at home because I am too insecure about my skin. If anyone has any advice or stories about their accutane experience I would love to hear it.
