Does anyone know if there is anything specific in doughnuts that could cause an acne breakout? Im 30yo and I've never had a big problem with acne. I have the occational breakout here and there, but it will usually start to get better after applying some clearasil. Last week I woke up one morning with a couple of small, red pimple looking bumps on my forehead. The next day and I had more, then even more! I use an antibacterial cleanser every day and a pretty good skincare routine so I don;t understand why this happend all of the sudden. The only thing I did different last week was eat a Krispy cream doughnut for breakfast every morning- I might have even had one after dinner as well:) Is there anything specific in doughnuts that could cause someone to breakout??I've always eaten sweets here and there, so I don't think it has anything to do with sweets in general. I know this sounRAB like a long shot, but that is absolutly the only thing I've really done differenly this past week. I'e tried everyting I can think of, and it's not ANY better. Help! Advice please!?!?

i think this can be from the donuts no doubt. I know my acne is triggered by straight milk and sugar. If i eat to much sugar i will break out bad the next day within hours even, milk the same way but even worse. I try to stay away from sugar, but during the last couple weeks i have been having a ruff time and i ate alot of it and now im suffering bad from the side affects. Those donuts have so much sugar it is insane.

Those Krispy Cream doughnuts have ALOT of sugar in them, and a lot of transfats! They are bound to cause breakouts. I had a couple last week because I was going through one of those sugar craves (hate those) and broke out pretty good but luckly they didn't last as long as my usual ones do. Also all that white gooey flour in doughnuts are said to aggrivate acne. If you're not very prone to acne, limit the doughnut intake and I'm sure things will be fine. Everyday for a week doesn't sound too good, but twice a week for someone non-prone sounRAB about right.

It's caused by stress. You're stressing out right now. Just relax and check with a derm.
