ACL surgery while in Army DEP?

Hi, I am in the Army DEP. Enlisted as a 13F Forward observer... In August 2009, I fell off a fence and apparently tore my ACL. I thought it was just a sprain. After a few months I started doing light jogging. So everything was fine... A year later in June 2010, I enlisted in the Army... And in July, I went to the doctor because my knee was hurting after intense work out. Well, after an MRI, I found out it was a torn ACL.. So on August 17, 2010 I had ACL surgery. It is now October 31st. So a little over 2 months after surgery. I seem to be healing fine. All PT is done by myself, so i keep it building up. Im doing good for only 2 months out.... The recruiter tells me the DEP is good for 14 months... Acl surgeries usually take 9 months to heal. I am scheduled to leave June 28th 2012 but i want to change my mos, which will push my ship date to either July or August... my recruiter is telling me to not say anything about the surgery..I already have the papers to change my mos filled out... What do I do? Do I go to MEPS and change my mos and not say anything? HELP!
