You have a car battery that has a pH of 4.58. After adding 0.224 grams of sulphuric acid (H2SO4), you again measure the pH and find that you now have a pH of 2.26. What is the volume of water in your battery? (in mL)
My chemistry teacher gave us a challenge problem and if anyone can help, thanks in advance. I know how to convert pH to [H+] and then to [OH-], etc. and I know how to break apart substances to find the individual concentration of just the hydrogen, but I don't know what to do if you have a change in pH and moles of a substance added. Will this be like a proportion? Please show me all work so I can understand. Thanx
