The above products ALL had upgrades this morning, FYI.

I've asked AI what "3.020" includes, as it is the same size as previous 3.011.

TealDoc now allows for preferred startup SD Card folder; Bonsai Build 1491 (handheld) and 1483 (conduit) now address several small issues, including Clip Pro compatibility (1491/handheld) and filtering "glitches." Just unzip and replace the Program folder files with the new files (3). Hotsync new Build 1491 to handheld.

Total aggregate SIZE increase was 3k for ALL THREE apps. . . 3k to improve 3 large softwares (not anywhere near, say, a 450k jump).

Also, none of 'em wanted $9.95. All free to registered users.

Got an email from James at Iambic this morning . . . I purchased on 8/11 - 4 months ago -- and I won't be covered for a free upgrade. Was worth a try.

He claimed that "many people are close to the cutoff" (3 weeks!) and he can make an exception if it's "close;" 4 months apparently is not close.

Guess the 2 years plus you get at Tealpoint, lifetime at Red-Mercury, jkware and some others, and (going on now) a year at Natara mean THEY are all silly businessmen for offering upgrades to products they CONSTANTLY improve and pay programming personnel to develop -- in Teal's case 20+ products, and that Iambic are justified in charging essentially $70 for a calendar app that still has bugs. Take a look at the bug reports forum and you'll see what I mean.

This will not stand with me. It's the principle of the thing and I am livid. It's beyond the $9.95 -- it's the whole treatment of existing customers compared to ANY OTHER SOFTWARE COMPANY around.

DataViz may charge for the 7.0 Docs2Go; it is however INCLUDED on newer handhelds free, and their stuff doesn't crash and they're good about upgrades.

Iambic upset the wrong Brit.

And a Happy Hanukah to you, Sir (thanks for wishing us all one somewhere - forgot where). As a "survivor of Catholic school," let me also wish you . . . . . Happy Kwanza!!

The updates are tricky to find; these are direct links to help you avoid "fishing" for an hour:

TealDoc:

AcidImage:

I took TDoc and Bonsai; I emailed Red-Mercury re: AcidImage, and they advised that it's mostly a "T5" fix - so I'll stick with 3.011 which is working GREAT.

Cheers/p
