I occasionally get GERD, but last night I had the worst attack. I was producing water brash for almost 40 minutes. Usually, I get brash and it subsides in 5 to 10 minutes.
It might be helpful for people to track exactly where, when, or with what fooRAB that they get GERD. My problem seems to be largely physical.
I never get GERD eating at someone else's house or in a restaurant. It's always when I'm alone, eating in front of the TV and usually lying back slightly. Also, I am having orthodontics late in life. Sometimes this causes me to gulp food or to chew insufficiently. Last night, I ate about a half a bowl of white rice with some soy sauce before I started eating anything else and a terrible attack ensued.
I hear drinking water beforehand helps a lot. Also does anyone have any success with the over-the-counter drugs for acute situation? Thanks in advance.
