acid reflux

Hi I have had throat and vocal soreness- raspiness, off and on for 6 weeks. I thought it was from a med I was taking for neuropathy in my legs. The meRAB caused this to happen before, so I have quit taking anything now for over 3 days. The Dr. seems to think it may be acid reflux. Could anyone shed some light on some of it's symptoms? Your symptoms can be due to acid reflux. They can also be due to allergies. It might help to see an ear,nose and throat doctor to see if he/she can pinpoint the cause. Otherwise, you will likely be prescribed a PPI as a matter of course and the real cause of the symptoms may be masked.
