I was diagnosed with acid reflux back in June of this year. When I have an episode, I have excruciating pain in my stomach to the point that I can not stand straight up. I take Zantac every night to control it. My question/problem is this: Episodes seem to be connected somehow to my menstral cycle. I have been taking torodol for menstral cramps and I thought that was irritating my acid reflux. This month I did not take torodol; I took napraxin sodium instead. I have the same problem with my stomach hurting. I called my gastrointerologist today and spoke with his nurse. I explained to her that the pain is in my stomach right where my ribs join in the center of my body. She consulted with the doctor and said that "that is just what girls do on their cycle." That makes no sense to me. What do I need to do next? My mom wants me to see a gynecologist, but I don't want to do that. Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so, what did you do about it?
