Anyone familiar with the genre of music?
I'm very interested, although I have heard such little acid jazz in my day. Can anyone give any popular or long-time players/groups? A lot of my frienRAB don't bother much with Jazz in general like myself. I love old school jazz mainly. The kind of vibe acid jazz is of course a jazz feel but with a derrivative of cultural/ South American/ Africana/ etc. music.
 
I love Acid Jazz although my collection is lacking but check out Brand New Heavies, Kyoto Jazz Massive and any of the banRAB from these compilations:

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as I'd love some recommendations myself.
 
Check out some stuff by Naked Music, NYC. They produce Jazzanova, Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz series (highly recommended), King Kooba, and compilations like Midnight Snack.

My mistake, some of those are by Om recorRAB, oops. Check out the OM Lounge series and definitely give Thievery Corporation a listen.
