I had a lamenectomy a year ago and thought I was better, but now have aching in my lower legs all the time! Anyone know if this is connected to my back?

Hi judybug, to answer your question about aching legs, that was my biggest complaint. Had to leave work due to the fact I could not sit, stand, and especially walk for more then a few minutes. Now my hamstring is pulling really bad. I was diagnosed with spondyliolisthesis last year with a full blown disc at L3-4. The back pain is not as bad as the leg pain and it took quite a while to believe this was from my back. But other people on this board has stated and my surgeon, that is one of the symptoms. I had an MRI done and it showed the nerves being compressed at that level. Maybe it's time for another MRI for you to see what is happening. If you had back problems before, it probably is stemming for your back. Good Luck, Linda

I have MAJOR back issues, but 85% of my pain is in my leg.

If I were you, I would contact my doctor and tell him about your new symptom.

Just recently, I started waking up 3-4x a night because my legs are aching really bad in bed. This is new, and I am most certain that the cause is from my back.

I do have an appointment this Tuesday and will explain the new symptom.
Like I stated before, I was shocked to hear that my leg symptoms were due to my back problem. I though I had fibro or something. And you should call your doctor also and tell him about your legs. It's awful, isn't it??!!
