Okay...is it just my doc or what? I am new with Accutane and my visit right before I was going to start taking Accutane, my Derm pulled out needle (syringe with medication/liquid inside) that was similar to a Botox needle and stuck it at some pimples that were starting to form.

My skin was actually clear when starting Accutane, so he said that this medicine was going to stop the pimples from forming.

He does this on each visit and IT WORKS! Just had my 2-month visit.

Does anyone else dermatologist do this? And what is this stuff. It's like magic.

Hi
I am not on Accutane, but my derm does this as well. It is a shot of cortisone. I will bring down any swelling from cystic type acne. Once he completes this procedure, they usually go away in a day or two, which is much better then waiting for them to go away on their own or with some other form of treatment. He could possibly be doing the same thing in your case...
