There are so many stars and and planets in the universe, 100 billion starts and solar systems in just out galaxy alone multiply that by well over 100 billion galaxies in the universe.

I highly doubt Earth is the only planet with life or intelligent life. If your going to bet a billion dollars that there is life on other planets then the odds are defiantly in your favor.
