Suppose if you want to run a background check on a person who claims to have a degree from a certain reputed university like Stanford, Oxford how do you do that? I mean does any university publish the names of the person graduating in a specific year with a specific degree publicly? I do not want to run a detailed background check just a confirmation check. For example - Mr. X has M.A and D.Phil from Oxford University. Is there any certified listing published by Oxford university which can give me an assurance that the said person's credentials are genuine?
