AC waiting list 5. Chance of confirmation? Can travel in reservation compartment?

I have a 3 Tier AC Ticket (Kerala to Karnataka), which I took 2 months back, and it was on waiting list 6. Now it's on waiting list 5. I will be traveling to Karnataka in 2 weeks time.

Any chance that the ticket could get confirmed by then?
Can I travel in the sleeper class compartment with the AC ticket? (might have to sleep on the floor, but that's ok)
Anything else that could be done?
