Abstinence, Sex before Marriage?

Ok, so today my friend and I were talking about guys haha, and then i asked her if she is going to save herself for marriage and i know she is a Christian but she said if she finds the right guy she will probably have sex before marriage.
Anyways, and her not being a Christian for long she doesn't know much and asked me why cant you have sex before marriage and where in the Bible does it talk about abstinence, well that is where i stumbled and was wondering if you guys could give me some answers.

Marrying someone you've never been intimate with is incredibly foolish, if you want my opinion.
