absolute value problems?

In my precalc class we are reviewing absolute values. we are learning the properties of the |a|= a if a>0. and other stuff. i understand but dont understand it. i do not know what to right when solving a problem like this.


if a problem says |x|=x with x>0. what do i write. i do not understand please explain.
