I have a 1997 Ford F150 and the ABS light is ALWAYS on. Should I be worried at all. Most tell me know. Other say yes so im not sure if i should be.

Nothing to worry about. Your brakes will still work. It just that the Advanced Braking System will not function because there is a problem. An ABS system prevents you from locking up the tires completely under heavy braking. Cars existed for several decades without ABS systems so you will be fine. It just makes it harder to control the vehicle under heavy braking conditions.

You may check the Ford recall 90S90.
This is a recall for a leaking break pressure switch which can cause fire.
If the switch is leaking brake fluid can run down the harness and reach the cruise control module.
Sometimes it causes a bad contact in the connector and triggers the ABS light to come on.
If the fluid gets into the unit if may cause a short and possibly a fire because the system is not protected with a fuse...Ford puts in a fused modification for free.
I can't tell that this is going to solve your problem but it sure is worth a try.
Good luck solving your problem
