I've had an issue with my ABS light/brakes acting up for almost a year now. This is an unfortunate, and lengthy explaination.. But bare with me. I NEED A SOLUTION.
I ditched my truck one night with icy roads. My right tire went right down the ditch, hitting the culvert, causing my wheel bearing to break and the ABS light to illuminate. So I got it replaced. Afterwords, the ABS light stayed on.
Eventually, once in a while, when at a stopped at a light, my pedal would depress on it's own about another couple inches towards the floor.
Then sometimes I'd start the car and the light would be off. But after reversing out of the driveway, and turning the wheel sharply, the light would turn on upon straightening the wheel and driving foward.
It also turns on sometimes when I'm coming to a stop, in which case the brake pedal depresses on it's own again, and I get a feeling in the pedal that I can only describe as 'the calipers trying to grab ahold and slipping once before it grabs.'
And the most recent thing yesterday, after coming to a stop light and getting the slipping feel, when I started to drive again, my car pulled to the right, and if felt like my front passenger tire was spinning out.
P.S. I've been told to check the fluid.. and that's of course one of the first things I checked.
Also, the tempatures outside fell about 30 degrees in 2 days, and suddenly today the light wasn't on at all.
