about to get 2 15 inch kicker l5's not sure what amp to get?

Max Power Handling: 1500 Watts (3000 Watt PAIR)
RMS Power Handling: 750 Watts (1500 Watt PAIR)

Dont know much about all this but since they both add up to 3000 watts can i just get an amp that is 3000 watts? if yes which amp do you recomend? i wass looking at the kicker amp everyone says is the best but its kinda expensive..know anything good but a lil cheaper?
