About to breed betta, any tips?

This will be my first time breeding betta, but I feel like I've done all the research to do it well.
The male is a butterfly halfmoon (royal blue with white/transparent fins) and the female is a solid maroon CT. I love my female very much, Im also very nervous about her being harmed (I know its part of the process) luckily the male isn't extremely aggressive, even pretty mild mannered compared to most betta males. And both of them have been fed blood worms to prep for breeding.

-I've got my ten gallon aquarium set up
-no substrate
-gentle sponge filter
-live plants
-almond leaf
-styrafoam cup for the male to put his bubble nest in
-hiding places for the female
-live micro eel culture for fry to eat when ready.

I know to remove the female immediantely when breeding is finished, and to let the male care for the eggs for about two days and then remove him, and then start feeding the micro eels to the fry, then after a month seperate them. Right now have the male in the ten gallon to let him establish his territory, and I'm about to add the female. I have a clastic partition setup so they can only see one another and get used to eachother. I also have a setup with a LFS to take whatever fry aren't homed, as I have plenty of friends and family eager to get a homebred betta fish.

SO, am I missing anything? I'm absolutely nervous and want my first experience breeding them to be as succesful as possible. It would be great if someone who has done this before answers and can let me know of any novice mistakes, or how it went for them. Please let me know if there's anything else I need to know, or do differently. Thank you!

oh, and just out of sheer curiosity, what can I expect from a blue butterfly HM male X Red CT female? Will some be HM and others be CT? or will it be a hybrid of the two?
