About the usage of the word "because"?

I am a non-native English teacher in Japan.
I have another question. It is about the usage of the word "because"

I know "because" as a conjunction is used when we are asked why.
But Can we say this? Can we use "because" like in this way?

"Do you think it is hard to taranslate Japanese into English?"
"Yes, I do. Because there are some words which is only in Japan."
or
"Yes, I do, because there are ... "
