Figured I'd pop in here and say hello properly, since I started posting on this board a bit more. Hi! :wave: I'm a HEE-YUGE fan of movies, so hopefully I'll be sticking around a bit.

I can't stand the Actor/Movie thread, but we keep it out of tradition because it was one of the first two games when the boards were first created, and because for some people it helps them break the ice on the board (which is perfectly valid and keeps me from campaigning against closing it permanently - we love new posters and want them to feel comfortable).

We did try a 6-Degrees type thread, and I thought the Movie Scattegories thread was like that - you might want to check that out first. I'm not sure why the 6-Degrees one didn't work if that's not the same thing, and it could be it's simply down on page 10 and people aren't playing it right now.

I'll try and look into the matter this weekend when I have more time...

I didn't know where to post this but I wanted to make a suggestion for a new thread. I know that we have a Actor/Movie Association thread but I think it's really too easy for people. Can we actually play 6 Degrees? Have someone name 2 actors and the first person who gets an answer just names 2 more actors. I'm still somewhat new to this thread so I don't know if it's already been done. I just think it's more of a challenge then the Actor/Movie Association game.

Aw, thanks! I have a bit of a love-hate relationship with it, sometimes it's easy for people to take the mickey out of it, but usually I'm okay with it. But I think everyone can be like that about their own names sometimes, huh?

Haha, cool! So your birthday's in May? Awesome. That's another thing I have a love-hate opinion of, my late birthday :lol: I'm just a moan, really!

Oh, good point - although they could do it the old fashion way by just providing spaces with the words, "Spoiler alert." I was more referring to those who don't seem to care and simply post as if everyone's seen the film and they can say whatever they like about it. *sigh*

I can't believe I've never been in here before!

I love film, a few favourites are American Beauty, (500) Days of Summer, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Fight Club, Casablanca, Rear Window, Crash and Girl, Interrupted. There's a whole lot more but I don't think I could list them all. :lol:

I'll watch any type of movie really, the genre doesn't bother me. It all depends on what kind of mood I'm in at the time I sit down to watch a film.

Aww, You've Got Mail is such a good film. :sigh: Have you seen Sleepless in Seattle as well?
 
Oh, sorry, it's just that I know there are people with that name.
Why do you think Sadia is not that exciting? It is. It's not a usual name. I really like it.
