About php frameworks(MVC)?

i am a php coder but i never worked with any of php framework, now i m asked to use php framework. i dont know what is the advantage of framework though i do better coding without using framework.

can you explain please the advantages of PHP framework?

i knew there is a framework named MVC. and i know MVC thoritically. please give me good idea to use MVC framework of PHP?????????
