need to be an expert!? My father who is sitting beside me was in Royal Marines 1951-1974. In the 1950`s he attended Grapple Y and Z i think. He was on Xmas Island 1953 - late 54 HMS Invincible. All nations have given compensation - US, NZ, AUS, and the Isle of Man even paid out compensation to its own citizens. There are not many left of his ilk since 70% died in their 50,s of radiation related illnesses and some of their children/grandchildren have been born with malformities beyond the normal expected. My father does not want publicity, compensation or even apology in fact he would not be happy I was writing this on Answers. Help me with ideas and suggestions how I can raise the profile of the terrible way all servicemen were treated by the UK government. Deep down talking to my father all he wants is recognition that this was wrong. I kid you not what bothers him most is the fact all his teeth fell out from the route 18 months after he left Xmas Island. Where do I start please any good suggestions I will be so grateful.

Sorry so long winded. Thanks
