About my AC electronics class.....I'm stuck on two questions and can't find them

in the book....please help!!!? Okay so I missed a couple weeks of class and I'm lost as can be...I can't find these two questions in the book so can someone please explain to me how to do these? Thanks...

1.) Given a series circuit with a 1k ohm resistor and a 500 ohm resistor in parallel with an applied voltage of 10 Vrms at a frequency of 4kHz, what is IT?

2.) What is the peak to peak voltage of a sine wave that has Vac value of 110 V (volts)?

What does Vac stand for please??? Can't find that anywhere in this book...

Okay I found out what Vac means so I no longer need the answer to question number 2....still can't figure out how to do number 1 though...
 
I think it is just a series circuit. A circuit with only resistors is not affected (I think) due to the 4 Khz frequency! Only capacitor and inductor in circuits act on frequencies.
