about my 1994 chevy cavalier?

i had a mechanic road test my car after i told him it surges at times while i was driving he suggested that the torque convertor clutch in my transmission might be dirty he said sometimes they get a glaze over them does anyone no what fluid i cant add to my transmission to clean the torque convertor clutch
