About how much does it cost to ship a car?

In America, on average, about how much do you think it would cost to ship a Toyota Prius from the west coast to the east coast?

I will be moving to the east coast in several months, so I'm just trying to get an idea of how I will get there, and how much it will cost me. Do you think it would be cheaper to just drive? That way I won't have to buy a plane ticket, or pay for shipping on my vehicle and my stuff? Or is shipping a vehicle cheaper than I'm expecting?
 
It will almost certainly be cheaper to just drive.

For shipping costs, call a dealership. They send & receive cars all the time and can either tell you or refer you to a shipping agent.
