...be good for them? right now i have a insignia 1000 watt powering them, but they just dont seem to be hitting as hard as they could.

match the rms wattage of the subs, and stick with a rockfort fosgate amplifier!!!
 
go to stereo shop and ask for the equivelant to a rockford fosgate punch150.....they dont make them anymore but they make one close and it will thump a pair of tens nicely when hooked up mono
