you changed the points but did you change the two condensors? They are the two metal cylinders right next to the points.That bike has dual points and dual condensors. By the way there is an electronic ignition system for that bike,I have the electronic conversion in my 1971 C.B. 750 and man what a differance! [gets an extra 1000 R.P.M!] The conversion cost me 130 dollars and worth every penny! No more setting points! Bought it right at a Honda dealership.Its a DYNA S electronic ignition.
