abnormal mass on liver..

Hello, I have been diagnosed with an abnormal mass on my liver. It may be cancer, stone, cyst, or a deposit of some sort. It is about 1 inch in diameter. They scheduled me for a liver biopsy of the mass. Does anyone know if a biopsy second opinon is valid? I don't have a history of anything. Does this sound like cancer? Thanks qwertttt

Hi, my PCP didn't even think a biopsy was necessary, and right now I'm not pushing it. I've had plenty of surgeries in my past, most recent a NSS for a 1.7 cm kidney tumor (thankfully benign). I've read it should be analyzed, but as I'm having more testing 'elsewhere' for other issues, I'll put on the back burner for now. The odds are it's (the liver cyst) benign, so while it's on my list, it's in the middle of that list. Let us know how you do, and I pray you will be all ok!!!! Hunter

OH! I forgot to add, your PCP is smarter than mine is...they should always be biopsied!...always! (and if not, watched for growth)
