Abnormal CT scan

I went to the doctor today with pain on my left side....she sent me for a CT scan which I later found out was abnormal. They wouldn't tell me much more than that other than for me not to eat until I speak with the doctor that sent me and that my pain didn't match up to the abnormality. Why would they tell me not to eat....what could be wrong?
 
Always get your copy of any and all test results at the place where tests were performed. Best to do this before your next follow up appointment so you can be prepared to ask your doc questions .
