Abdomen pain...

I have a rather sensitive stomach, and was sort of tested for ibs a few years ago and nothing came of it.
Anyway, i started off with stomach discomfort last night (just above my belly button) i managed to go to sleep for an hour or so, then was pretty much awake for the rest of the night then with pain.
At points it was very painfull and i could quite easily have cried, mainly because it was so uncomfortable. Prob a 6 out of 10.
I have had a little bit of sleep since, I havent been sick or got a temperature,and i have been to the loo... So that kind of rules out apendicitis. (i havent had pain that moves from one side to the other either).
I have felt a little sick but thats about it.
the pain has moved from just where the ribs end to right near the groin, but it has localised its self now to around the belly button area.
It is sore to the touch but the level of pain has lowered from last night.
I have had to take the day off work for this which im not happy about but i couldnt have gone in like this....
Im just unsure of what to do now.
I feel like i dont want to waste the doctors time incase its just a case of trapped wind of something.

So to sum things up..
I have stomach discomfort/pain in the middle of my abdomen around the belly button area,
it has not moved from left to right, just up and down at points.
I havent been sick or got a temperature.. if anything ive felt abit cold.

Has anyone had something similar to this? should i see my doc 2moz if its still here?

If I were you, I would go see your PCP......you may need a ct scan. They will probably do labs to see if everything is normal or not. I suffer from abdominal pain often and they dx me with epiploic appendagitis and IBS. My white blood cell count is usually high and they send me for the ct scan. Abdominal pain is nothing to mess with, it can always be more serious than you think. Make an appt and go see your dr........it could be appendix, gallbladder, kidney stone, and the list goes on.......
 
Hey thanks for your reply. It has more or less gone now and i didnt end up going to the docs... I know i prob should have done but i always feel like i may be wasting their time.
If it comes back again i will defo go to a docs :)
