ABC will "Shrek the Halls" on November 28th.

Atleast it was only 30 minutes. But one minute of Shrek is too much for me. Too bad a classic like HTGSC had to be paired with it and so early. Anybody have any idea when A Charlie Brown Christmas will air this year?

Usually Shrek as a character is okay but in this case the supporting cast outshone him. I especially liked Puss in Boots Night Before Christmas and Gingy's was amusing. The opening montage with the "latin-esque" chanting chorus had me in stitches as did the Christmas panic as I've run around like that some years trying to get everything done for Christmas. The line about the Christmas Goose gave me a giggle as well. Overall it was an adequate Christmas Special and wasn't as bad as it could have been.
As for the Grinch at least here in Ohio I always remember they would air the Grinch the night after Thanksgiving. It and Charlie Brown were almost always the first Christmas Specials that would air and then Rudolph and Frosty. However it is nice to see they're showing the remastered edition even if they are doing timecuts.

Of course, ABC in recent years has aired Charlie Brown TWICE each Xmas season: the first time during November Sweeps, then a second time when it gets closer to Xmas.

The Grinch got chopped to death to fit this in. I assume the same pairing will air next year, so I'm glad I recorded ABC's 2006 airing of HTGSC, which was given an hour's space and uncut.

They even cut parts of the song. You don't DO that, man!
