AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Cinemas!!!

Hint: Wear a coat, buy some cheaper popcorn etc before you go and put it inside your coat and zip it up, if you're coat is large enough they'll never know!!

Not so good in the summer though......!
 
I have found the best time to go is the first showing on a Saturday or Sunday morning, never had more than ten people (as low as five in total for one film) in a screening & that
 
I think that's really excellent and sound advice. I like your take-no-nonsense style!

I haven't used this approach with any cinemas since I haven't had to. I guess the upside of obscenely expensive ticket prices in London is that most people tend to shut up and watch the film! But I have done this sort of thing occasionally with other firms and organisations, and it really does get results. Speak to the people at the top... always a good strategy.


Must admit that I'd never dream of paying for cinema food or drinks. Another good thing about London is that you can generally get a bite to eat at a good price somewhere nearby before you see the film. :)
 
Ounce for ounce the markup on popcorn is greater than that on Cocaine!

Why oh why do mulitplexes today have 6 managers, only one on ticket sales three serving food and no ushers! Get the managers behind the ticket sales and showing people to their seats......
 
On the plus side, as there are no ushers and no staff on duty inside the screen you can get away with your own food and drink rather than taking out a mortgage to buy their stuff
 
Cinemas have adverts just before the main feature telling people to be on the look out for anyone making an illegal recording during the performance.

Well l like to say if they make cinema going a more pleasurable experience, more people will get off their backsides and visit the cinema to see the latest blockbusters than having to rely on a dodgy copy for their entertainment!

I went to Cineworld in WIQ last night and it was a terrible experience as l had at least five retarRAB chatting at the same time behind me. Also there was this other retard two rows down kept switching on his TWO mobiles during the film!

It was hard to concentrate on the screen with so many distractions going around me!

If it was up to me, l would ship all these plankton to a desert island and leave them there so they won't bother anyone else again except themselves!

Also, anyone else find it ridiculous on that "Don't download dodgy copies" advert (Fantastic Four/Narnia) where they make a point of the person walking in front of the camcorder? Yeah not only do you get that in cinemas, but you have to stand up/twist your legs out of the way as well!

As you don't have to wait all that long for DVD's these days I only go for the big event type films. Really wish I'd waited for King Kong on DVD - thanks to the seats in my Odeon, I came out walking like a silver back gorilla.

Plus the girl next to me pointed out every one of the Venture's sailors as being the guy who was Gollum (she got it right eventually).
 
I work next to Leicester Square. The big Odeon there (where the King Kong premier was) charges around 12 quid for its cheapest tickets and about 18 quid for its best seats.

This seems a little high to me...
 
Your so right morons why do people go to the moviesa and talk all the way through the film! And there always so shocked when I turn round quite polietly and tell them o shut it! Amazes me
