A50 unlock (Again)

Siemens A50 - v.03 (from IMEI info)

Have connected cable (http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/1317.htm)

Freia f9_162c never gets past :

COMM_LoadBoots : selected phone family is 7
TTY_OpenCOMPort : opening COM1
COMM_IsBootRunning : bootcode does not seem to be running
COMM_LoadBoots : Waiting to power on the phone ...
COMM_LoadBoots : phone is not powered on

Tried AllSiemens too, Same message.

I have tried all possible cofig options in the program and still no luck.

Will it pass this stage if I open it up and ground the testpoint or have i got a dodgy cable.

Also is there any way to check the cale is actually making a connection to the phone, such as voltages on certain pins etc

Any help greatly appreciated
 
I soldered a wire to needle and the other end I earthed to a screw on the back of my computer,I then pressed the needle under no1 of phone through membrane.(found good pic on net)I then ran unlocking program all siemans.The configuration was com 2,RTS,low,115200,new phones on my computer!On unlocking I used direct unlock no map is saved.Use original IMEI .When program running hold needle down tight ( it should touch test point if all well) and turn on phone ,with in a few seconds phone will unlock although I didnt see percentage bar moving.My phone was on virgin is now working on orange after 3 days searching internet!!!

cable is fine this happens to me with or without cable connected
