A world war 1 theme PC game?

Well, it's a game I played around 3-4 years ago and really liked, and I don't remember it's name or how I lost it.
It's an upper view game, in which you have to finish certain tasks in a mission to finish it. At the beginning of each mission you are given 1 or more soldiers with which to go around the map (Not big maps, not too small either) and either destroy certain targets, rescue fellow soldiers, or simply survive and reach the other end of the map. You can only directly command 1 of those soldiers at a time, and you can choose weapons such as pistols SMG's, and even throwing knives (First mission in the American campaign involves a parachute trooper who lost his weapons except throwing knives in the air and must reach the other end of the map for extraction). You collect new weapons, ammo, grenades, and different items from soldiers you have killed, your inventory for each soldier consists of about (9-12?) slots, and different items take different items and weapons need various numbers of slots to be carried. The game has an American, and a Russian campaign. And in both you command the soldiers the same way. Some missions involve using tanks by units (Called tank crews) that you are either given at the beginning of the level, or rescue in the current in previous missions. I really want to try and get this game back, so please, if you can, help me.
