A weird question about OYSTER CARD?

Do you know if it is ok to put your Oyster card in the same pocket as you Mobile phone?
I ask this cos I'v heard that the Mobile phone signal, radiation, electronic waves, or whatever, can wipe out the data in your Oyster card, and your oyster card will no longer work.

Have you ever had an Oyster card and suddenly it doesnt work?... It might be cos of your mobile phone, if the theory is right.

But anyways, is it ok to put your Oyster card in the same pocket as your Mobile phone?

I have never had any problems with it, but I suppose it could depend on the strenght of the radioactivity of each specific phone, so it could be OK for someone, but someone else could find their card stops working.

It is very possible that this is true, as the same thing happens with hotel room keys. I worked in hotels for years and always had people coming to the desk saying their key doesn't work, it is because the strip was demagnetised due to keeping it near phones, credit card, or house keys.
As Oyster cards work on the same principle, it is possible but will not happen 100% of the time. I have had an Oyster card for 4 years with no problems, and I keep everything I own in the same pocket!
