Hey! I was just reminiscing about times of old and I remembered this really awesome old web radio show that some guy single handedly produced/recorded/voiced, but I can't for the life of me remember the name. So I'm gonna describe it the best I can and hopefully someone out there knows what I'm talking about
The story is set in the near future when the boundaries between virtual and real life are somewhat blurred. A company called the CCC (something something constabulary) developed a matrix-like program and interface that allows people to live in a virtual world and do whatever they please. The main character is a former professor who losses his job due to a "virtual addiction". As a result he spends pretty much all his time in the virtual world. Through some glitch in the system he "see's behind the curtain" and begins to be hunted by the systems security-AI which takes the form of a teddy bear with a huge pair of scissors. Like the movie "Surrogates" people who are jacked into this virtual world begin dying via there neural interface implants. The main guy meets up with some mysterious figure who wants to help him find out what's going on, and eventually they do. (I won't spoil what I remember of the ending, in case someone is interested in listening to it... supposing someone out there can tell me what it is first)
