A Villanelle to read and c/c?

A Villanelle

The life you loved most--who's to tell you why
Of the quiet grief, gardening a little grave?
The light of her life flickered like a firefly.

A crystal coffin reflects her contour white.
The utter stillness--death shows most on the face.
The life we loved most--who's to tell you why

First thoughts upon wakening bring tears to your eyes?
Sometimes she'll come, briefly, turning night to day.
The light of her life flickered like a firefly.

The journeys path in life is led by the faintest light.
You caught one in a jar--it too will die the same.
The life you loved most--who's to tell you why

At its last light the lid was opened, and you watched it fly?
See them come and watch one go with not a wing to wave.
The light of her life flickered like a firefly.

What glowed in her heart should keep her warm tonight.
It will last the lifespan of your grieving days.
The life you loved most--who's to tell you why
The light of her life flickered like a firefly?
Hi Dave. You leave for a couple of months and recognize not a name.

Oh Nancy, I should've used 'damselfly'.

I was happy to see that you posted a poem, have missed you...

...and what a poem. Left a lump in my throat. You have an easy manner with this form, where most sound contrived and shallow, yours does NOT.

See ya around, friend!
