So today it's been announced that the A Team Movie has a release date of June 12 2009.

So here's the question......

Imagine there was limitless budget for casting and there were no actor ego's whatsoever who would you cast in the following roles:-

Hannibal Smith
Templeton Peck
Howling Mad Murdoch
BA Baracus

My line up would be.....

Hannibal Smith - Tommy Lee Jones or George Clooney
Templeton Peck - Brad Pitt
Howling Mad Murdoch - a no brainer, got to be Jim Carrey
BA Baracus - Mr T. Still looks good aged well and the only person who can pull that character off.

I'd definately go with Clooney & Pitt and after working together on the Oceans series their is already a very good chemistry there and they worked together a few times so it is financially possible.

I'd go with Michael Clarke Duncan too,if not I'd choose The Rock who many would disagree with but he could make the character his own.

For Murdoch I'd go with the director's (rumoured) pick Woody Harrelson.

NeeRAB to get Tommy Lee Jones as Decker also.

I just hope they don't screw this up because of all the US TV series remade for the big screen only Starsky & Hutch was ok (Dukes Of Hazard,Beverly Hillbillies,Bilko were rubbish).

Hannibal: George Clooney
Face: James Marsden
Murdock: Jim Carrey
BA: I don't know really. I've heard lots of people throwing the name Michael Clarke Duncan around but I don't really know who he is, I've only seen a few pictures.

(And Tommy Lee Jones as Decker, yeah.)

Hannibal - George Clooney

Face - Brad Pitt, although no one should play Face apart from Dirk.

Murdock - Jim Carrey, but am afraid he would mug too much.

BA Baracus - Get Mr T back! Failing that, Sam L Jackson.

I've nothing against Dwayne Johnson at all as an actor, but the guy's white and half Samoan. The character of BA Baracus is black American.

I can't say things can't or shouldn't change, but if this movie's gonna be any good, certain things have to be adhered to. And that thing is that BA Baracus has to be black.

Just to correct you, Dwayne Johnson is not half white but half black and half Samoan.

I think the part of BA will be the hardest to fill. Mr T made that character his own. Well basically all the actors made their A Team characters their own so it is hard to imagine which actors will play them in the movie.

I hope the movie does justice to The A Team tv series. It has always been one of my favourite programmes.

Btw, i would love to see Tommy Lee Jones play Colonel Decker. I can just picture him chasing after the A Team guys. :D

The mere idea of having Michael Clarke Duncan as BA is terrifying. First off he sounRAB like a big girly boy in the voice department. He does not and never will sound macho [like what BA should sound like]. And in the facial department he looks like a sissy [even if he could maybe kick my arse] it doesn't stop him looking like a sissy.

BA NEERAB to look macho and he definately NEERAB to sound macho. So please, if you want any respect shown for the series don't go giving them ideas for using Michael Clarke Duncan, as he is not the idea candidate for the role. And those that think he is, well, I thank God you are not making the movie based on the series. It has nothing to do with personal view here guys: Michael Clarke Duncan IS the wrong choice.

BA Baracus should be played by none other than: Ving Rhames.

Ving Rhames should be THE choice for Mr T's substitute, even if he is getting on a bit.

Unfortunately, IMDB is listing frickin Ice Cube as BA! Give up all hope...

Maybe not as bad as it might seem. If you were to stick rigidly to the known character of BA and what he was good at doing, there's not going to be much acting requirement.
