A stranger approached me and said he can fix my car. Can I trust him?

ive done the same thing, just someone looking to make some money. ask to see his id and take that info for your records, im a mechanic also and have worked on many cars/trucks mowers etc. alot of people get to make money by asking someone if they want something repaired

He saw my dented car in the driveway and walked up to the front door. I imagine he's a mechanic looking for sidework on the weekend. I said no, dont touch my car, but my mom had a dent on hers, and she agreed.

So anyways, he is coming over now. Seems like I get asked by a random person on the road or parking lot a few times a month if I want to have my dent fixed.

Have you had any experience with these people?

Yes and I would not have him fix your or your moms car beacause if he gets you Cadillac converter he can have 500 dollars right there and he can sell it for more money.

Be careful. Maybe he's just a poor guy looking for some work. Or maybe not. Watch yourself. Be safe.

no
don't do it...
he isn't experienced ... because the experienced wouldn't ask... they do it for the people who ask..

or

blame the bad economy

lol

It's impossible to do a a good job. If its not a small dent your in'
for trouble. All he's going to do is body putty it and paint over it.
I'm curious, How much is he charging? He probably just wants
to know where you live so that he can rip you guys off and "bang" your mom when you're not at home>
