My horse got away from me this morning on the lunge line, in the big outdoor arena. After he ran and ran, he finally let me catch him up. We finished the lunge session , walk and trot both ways. He had really worked up a head of steam and when i finished i asked the barn owner to hold him for a minute so i could sponge him off. he was in the middle of a conversation with a dressage queen who had shipped in to ride in our ring. she insisted on continueing to yap away and kept distracting the man so the horse was dancing around. she then came up to my horse and grabbed him by the nose band, i asked her 3 times to unhand my horse. she took her hand and atually twisted the nose band around it. not only stretching the brand new thing out, but risking having him rear up and break her fingers and possibly injure all of us. i physically (sp?) had to unclench her fingers from his bridle as she gave him a hell of a yank and looked like she was going to punch him. i squueezed her fingers until she let go. finished his bath and cooled him out. was i wrong? i was so mad i couldnt see straight. i did nt yell or curse at her. i am a 46 year old woman.
