a small rant.

I don't know a whole lot but how things are looking right now another deployment is all but here, only good thing is it won't be to Iraq this time... Though I am not sure where he is going is much better from what little I see on the news. *shrugs*

I am not sure I am ready for this but it's only right. As my husband ships out another family gets their soldier home. I have had him for almost a year now, guess its my time to give him up again.

We are still hoping to find a house by the end of the summer, which will be nice.... I hate living in this aparment and I think I would feel safer in a house, give me something to do other than just go to work, come home and feel so depressed.....

Damn it hurts to just thinking about it. Last time it was so sudden I didn't have time to think about it. Guess this is what they call the Deployment Blues and they are hitting a little early guys. Lets just keep faith my angels will bring him home again....

~Sorry for those of you who are sick of hearing about war.... just thought I would give a small update~

Just make sure to keep in contact with the key volunteer wifes network. They organize get-togethers for people that are going through the same thing in your area. I know its hard to go through all that, but just try to remain positive and stay in touch with him. My heart goes out to you.

Aye, learned a lot from my first deployment.

just didn't think a second one was going to happen so fast, but I should of known better.

just be thankful you had so long, some of the guys i deployed with were doing four months inbetween deployments.... for a single guy i believe its easier, but for a married couple, or a family its a bit harder. Im sure his contract is almost up. Props on being a military wife, i dont think i could do what you do.

I doubt Jess will be getting out anytime soon... Yeah, He didn't get to stay at home completly for a year. They had him doing stateside duty... but it better than overseas.

oh that isnt too bad, i was with marine combat engineers in iraq. We did some work with some army engineers, they are some knowledgeable mo fo's. While afghanistan is still a war zone, it has calmed considerably and deffinately is no iraq.

Kitana,

Thanks for supporting the war, and for tolerating your husband being gone for awhile, but I look at it like well the person I'm relieving has been over there long enough, time for him to come home. I'm a single Sailor, so it's a bit easier to be deployed, I don't know how I would make it with a wife and kids, props on being a military wife and always being there, you mean the world to us, though I'm single I do it for every citizen back home. No, I may not be Army or Marines, but we all work together to get the job done. Hopefully, this conflict will come to and end soon, until then keep up the support!! I'm currently a Navy Reservist, was active duty for four years, but going to head back to active duty soon! As, we say in the Navy "Fair winds and following seas", ma'am.

hey thanks for the ride navy guy! nah dont be so hard on yourself... while your piticular job might not assist very much... the corpsman and seals do a lot... not to mention the SEA BEAs.... there are quite a few naval units that are over there just like the rest of everyone.

Compaq to Iraq, Afghanistan is relatively safe and peaceful. Just like Iraq, it's only risky in a few urban areas.

He should be glad he's going there instead of Iraq. They are mainly doing opium busts these days.
