i took my car to a shop to get the cheapest oil change i could find in town. i just went a road trip i needed oil really bad and didn't have a lot of cash. i go to drive away and my a/c stopped running through the vents!! i went back raised hell finally they magically found the hose that puts the air through the vents was somehow disconnected but the fixed now blah blah. it worked for oh two days broke again, i somehow managed to get it working again. not even sure what i did but its out again and i cant figure it out and i'm really mad. while under the hood i also found the house from my coolant tank was disconnected as well! so i don't know what they did or damaged i don't have 50 billion to drop on fixing their mistakes i think they should be held liable. i can get a lawyer no problem. but basically two weeks before this incident it had been to my regular mechanic who couldn't find a thing wrong with it and i'm bringing it back to him tomorrow to see what up with it. considering though that i can prove these things weren't problems before can't i just send them the bill for the repairs and threaten legal action if they don't just take care of it? a friend of mine(similar situation) took her car for an oil change only they didn't put in in the new oil. her engine blew and the new shop made the other shop pay for it. so i know there's a way to go about this i just am not 100% on how. Thanks in advance for your help?

To change the oil in your car all they had to do was lift your car, remove the drain plug allow the old oil to run out, replace the plug and lower your car back down to the ground or floor. They then opened your hood leaned over and either unscrewed an oil cap or if it was a slip on type just pulled it off the valve cover. Then they opened so many quarts of oil and poured them into the opening where the oils cap was removed. After all the oils was in they then replaced your oil cap and closed your hood. You said your self you went for the cheapest oil change you could find, so I sure can`t see one of the shops that offer cheap oil changes poking around in your engine compartment for any other reason. Most mechanics are not going to do any more than they have to and especially if they`re not making much money off you in the first place. I think your A\C problems may be coincidental
